Yet another discussion on renewable

On Blog Vietti I had a discussion with some of Maurizio on alternative energy. The

view that I defend is: a rapid transit from coal and oil to renewable energy sources is important not just to the problem of global warming, but to have a more energy efficient.

Maurizio had posted the objections that I had not responded to lack of time. Since I called, I feel obliged to post my answers.

According to Maurizio, the transition would be to our disadvantage because:

- we should revise our production equipment to the bottom but paying the price of complexity, this price is now borne by the public financing "unknowingly" a system of energy production right incentives, otherwise it would largely out of business. Other than take out the other technologies because it is more expensive!

Here we ignore the fact that, globally, fossil fuels will also receive their substantial subsidies, see the website IEA

- we should do it in competition with emerging economies without the constraints and obligations on us instead .

Here we ignore that greater energy efficiency will, in the long term, an advantage for us.

- we must do so without the certainty (and even hope) that renewables will replace the non-renewable but only in part.

Who says so? It is reasonable to cite a study on the subject.

- failing to reach the reduction targets we would be forced to pay (who?) huge sums to be added to the existing liens that the welfare of our competitors do not have. Clearly, we ask you to take a disability that we do not know if we can bear. At best it will benefit in the worst beating us.

This issue (political and therefore has nothing to do with the fact that the transition is beneficial or not) is solved simply: achieving the goals.

- in future we will certainly deal with new systems of energy production, more or less renewable. It would be a good idea to wait for things to ripen without first hurting ourselves alone.

So according to this reasoning, since the computers of the future will be faster, we should not use those today because it is a waste of resources, it should use the current primary cancer treatment, because in ten years there will be etc etc

best - not only those who have invested in renewable technologies will have good earnings (but, to date, only as long as there will be incentives), even those who speculate in shares of CO2 (Gore?) will he earn! Even politicians who ride the tiger earn, and their research foundations complacent that feed on public funding.

would be good to finally earn the people who invest in things that make sense. "The research foundations complacent that feed on public funding." insinuation is demagogic.

- AGW theories the problem is not what you ask so-soft when you say that the CO2 is not a fundamental argument, Gore & C. talk of impending disaster and make us believe the data for the end of the world. This is not useful, it is a scam, in my opinion.

What Gore & C. have questionable opinions different from my own, not to deny that my opinion is correct.

- once again affirming that we are not against polluters green, I'm not a polluter, is an advocate of recycling and energy conservation. Good for

you. If so, use cheaper forms of energy, if you really want to save energy.

- if we continue to have to deal with the antinuclear we can not even rely too much on one source of clean, affordable renewable energy as well as in part thanks to the fast-breeder reactors. Problem, for example, that China does not arise!

In medical research on nuclear fusion has been invested an unbelievable amount of money out of nothing and is not acceptable. It is time to abandon a road apparently dead. Given that uranium, plutonium, radio etc.. you need a lot of other things, and if we burn all that energy to do, cry in 500 years.

Cleaning Odor From Nose

The first theorem is never forgotten

A little 'underwear today.

I just realized that I have very strong memories are divided into three categories.

- emotional experiences (we understand)
-

sporting experiences and, last but not least, mathematical experiences.

For example, I remember exactly where and when and how:

- I understand the Monty Hall problem
- I learned the construction of the second Peano natural
- I understand the dimension theorem
- I read and studied the Gödel's theorem
- I met for the first time the set-theoretic topology

etc etc etc ...
